By 1964 two other events happened that inspired and then changed my life.

It was in Portsmouth NH that music really took hold of me.

Of all the decades, the 1960's has to be the greatest in the history of music....

In 1966 the Air Force sent us to Dover AFB Delaware.   Dover was the perfect place at the perfect time for me to learn.  It was the first place where I saw live local rock groups ....  and I got my first electric guitar...

my original songs and recording my own album

Music...  my earliest  memories are as a child playing with a small record player.  With records strewn on the floor, I would grab whatever disk was within reach, slap it on the turntable, drop the needle and music would fill my playtime.  I remember hearing "The Nutcracker" over and over.  Besides music on radio and TV, my dad would play guitar and sing ...

The Breakfast Hill Trio...  played a few  folk songs when suddenly , a crystalline moment became etched in my memory.

I moved back to  New Hampshire.  Being on my own and fresh out of high school...  I decided to play music full time... in 1975 started my forty plus year relationship with Lunch at the Dump bluegrass band....
